Protecting Tax Dollars

The primary responsibility of a Lake County Board Member is to ensure that the county should operate its budget with the same caution that families do. I will fight to protect our tax dollars and to eliminate wasteful spending. I will work hard with the board to ensure that each county department is using tax dollars wisely and efficiently.

Environment

Lake County’s environment is one of our strongest assets. I remain firmly committed to maintaining our natural resources that are part of the Lake County Forest Preserves. I will support the continued goal of connecting bicycle trails and their safe use throughout Lake County. I am in favor of utilizing environmentally friendly resources and renewable energy for the financial benefit of the county.

Infrastructure

The stability of the county depends on maintaining our roads and infrastructure. As your Lake County Board Member, I will routinely request that we pursue Federal and State government resources to provide the support due to us so we can meet our obligation of having a strong and safe infrastructure county wide.

Transparency and Ethics

I will always have an “open door” policy and willingness to listen to everyone’s concerns about our county. I promise to routinely share current topics the County Board is reviewing with district members to provide the opportunity for feedback.

Common Sense Representative

I firmly support:

• Protecting the rights of individuals to vote.
• Reproductive rights are individual rights and that government should not interfere with a woman’s right to choose to have a child or not.
• Responsible ownership and use of firearms with safeguards that prohibit access to assault-style firearms, unless they are being used by active duty military and members of law enforcement with appropriate training.
